Perfect World Gold Entertainment Inc, a wholly owned US subsidiary of Perfect World Gold Co., Ltd., announced the beta for its highly anticipated online game "Perfect World International" is open to all gamers on September 2, 2008. As the closed beta has been over, new and existing gamers were provided open access to "Perfect World International" where they can fully immerse themselves in the expansive world and create permanent characters that will remain in the game through launch and beyond. Now we sat down with perfect world international's Product Manager Jonathan Belliss, to find out more about this OB test.
MMOsite: First congratulations, you've successfully completed the closed beta for Perfect World International. What's the outcome of the closed beta? What's the feedback?
Jonathan Belliss: Closed Beta was hugely successful. We received an enormous amount of positive feedback from our users and are extremely happy to finally be opening the doors for anyone and everyone to experience Perfect World International.
MMOsite: We know that there have been several English versions for Perfect World. What will differentiate Perfect World Gold International from the previous versions?
Jonathan Belliss: Perfect World International of course will feature the best English localization to date of Perfect World Gold. We have been working extremely hard to properly localize this title for English speaking audiences. Even after all of our hard work, we continue to tweak and change text to this very day. We are always looking at user feedback and adjusting things where necessary.
MMOsite: What about your server technology? What's your target capacity in terms of simultaneous players per server?
Jonathan Belliss: I can't go into exact numbers regarding our server technology. However I can say that Perfect World International can support a lot more users per server than other Free to Play games that I've worked with in the past.
